What is Neuromuscular Reflexology?

I am a restless professional and I like to train myself in new techniques to be able to give you the best possible treatment for your ailments. I have had the opportunity to train with Mr. Joaquín Muñoz, reflexologist and developer of neuromuscular reflexology.

With this publication I want to share and make neuromuscular reflexology known… and you will ask yourself… What is neuromuscular reflexology?

  • Neuromuscular Reflexology is a manual technique that, through acupressure (finger pressure) on the feet, relieves numerous ailments, restoring body balance.

  • Neuromuscular reflexology is a holistic technique, and… What does this mean? It is about working organic imbalances understanding that the body is a whole, they are not independent systems, structures and organs, so with reflexology not only the focus of pain is worked, but all the different organs, tissues, nervous system , vascular and lymphatic, which are physiologically related to the disease.

It has the same principles as foot reflexology (you can visit the blog post where I talk about it). The differences:

  • foot reflexology acts on the organs, viscera and glands,

  • Neuromuscular reflexology also works on the muscles, ligaments, nerves, blood vessels and lymphatics.

Profits:

  • It is a non-invasive technique

  • Analyze the possible origin of the ailment and study its evolution

  • Recommended for osteo-articular, musculoskeletal disorders such as sprains, muscle contractures, tendonitis, loss of sensitivity, ailments due to structural dysmetrias (for example, different length of the legs), pre and post-operative of the musculoskeletal system.

Important: This technique is not intended to substitute or replace medicine.
